Anna Mabo & die Buben

"Watch out for dog poop!" It's our first instruction for this video session with Anna Mabo und die Buben setting up their gear on this green space amidst the growing city. It's a Sunday afternoon at the end of winter. The constructions sites are for once calm, the grass is still brown and the faint sunlight attracts strollers. In this nature setting right in front of a tree, yet with a skyscraper backdrop the trio zips their pink overalls and starts into the performance of the still-unreleased track "Cowboy", followed by "Pyrenäentourist". The versatile artist Anna Mabo, who is also an acclaimed director in theater, seamlessly merges different worlds. Her songwriting is melancholic, romantic and also a little funny and the performance of the band gives us goosebumps and makes us want to dance at the same time.
