Rambla de Prim, 2012
Touring is no picnic. The sister duo Jennifer and Jessica Clavin of Bleached learnt this lesson early during their time with the punk/noise band Mika Miko. Although there was no more couch-crashing at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, where all artists reside at the luxurious Princess Hotel, the girls still enjoyed some aftershow-partying followed by various interviews on the morning after. After a long and busy festival day we meet the L.A.-based band at their hotel and head out in the dark streets. Under the street lights of a tree-lined road the beach blond sisters turn on their small amps to sweep us away with the infectious „Dazed“. Their friends join in dancing and singing so that „Searching Through The Past“ turns out to be great fun. And isn’t this the whole point about live music? That it gets you energized and exhilarated however long and hard your day might have been.

Rambla de Prim
Location-wise it’s all about Parc del Forum at the Primavera Sound Festival. The next spot that might come to your mind, when thinking about the setting is the Princess Hotel, where all artist reside during the festival. The least you might think of is Rambla de Prim, the tree-line road running from the metro station to the Forum. Sure, it has not much delights to offer, but you still have to trot along the rambla with the the rest of the festival folk when you come by the metro. However, during the festival days men selling beer cans are omnipresent along the street.
