Ghost Capsules
Studio at Neulerchenfelder Straße, 2014
What does At Home mean for a band whose members come from different countries? Is it the specific place where their collaboration first started? Or is it more in a figurative sense in their music? Singer Laura – who is originally from Barcelona and moved via Berlin and Vienna now to the South of England – explains that there’s a special mood that connects them. And really Ghost Capsules’ warm and organic electronic sound that comes with a melancholic undercurrent evoke certain film-like images. For the special occasion of our video session Ghost Capsules transfer the mystical mood of their new song “Broken Bones” into a magical stage design.

Studio at Neulerchenfelder Straße
Ghost Capsules’ studio is located in a spacious, but mostly empty house that was formerly also the home of Das Werk. However, as a reaction to the complaints from local residents at Neulerchenfelder Straße this club and cultural center has moved on to the Danube Canal, next to Grelle Forelle. So the club is gone, but it’s still a cosy place for a studio as Ghost Capsules prove when they invite us to their workspace.
