Sweet Sweet Moon

Córdoba Cathedral, 2014

“El Papa es argentino!”, our host bursts out. We are in the city of Córdoba in central Argentina and spontaneously decide to visit the Cathedral on this solemn occasion. At the lively Plaza San Martin with the place of worship in the background Sweet Sweet Moon play a guitar- and cello-version of “I Know It When I See It”, a lyrical song that Matthias has previously performed for us on a mini-keyboard.

Córdoba Cathedral

Córdoba’s cathedral is situated in the colonial town center on the lively Plaza San Martín. The construction of the Iglesia Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, which is its full name, began in 1577 and dragged for more than two centuries under several architects, including Jesuits and Franciscans. The interior was painted by renowned Córdoban painter Emilio Caraffa and contains traditional Indian carvings.
